Thankfully the Covid19 pandemic of 2020 now in 2024 appears to be finally over in the UK, we’ve kept some safety measures at our offices and we've changed some methods in the way our technicians work onsite permanently. We were always able to stay open as a mobile essential service under the UK government guidelines at all times. Our offices are not and were never open to the public in any case. Most importantly, we ask that you please don’t visit our offices for delivery or collection, if you or anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (or any other infectious disease). We are also advising you to rearrange on-site appointments, if you become aware of any symptoms of covid19 or any other infectious disease.

Parts and New PC's
Due to Covid19 (and the Russia/Ukraine situation) the delivery chain is affected for replacement parts and New PC's and although we are carrying increased stock. there may be delays in the delivery of some items. This will almost certainly mean a slower turnaround on some on-site repairs it also means that our 48 hour New PC delivery timeframe is still temporarily suspended. We will still deliver but our current New-PC delivery is now within 72+ hours.

Here’s how we keep everyone safe and how you can help

We advise all our customers to follow government guidance at all times which as we've al seen in the past can change suddenly. If we are working in your home or business premises we are happy for you to open a window if you like. We regularly use the anti-bacterial gel, and the computers especially keyboards and mouse or trackpads are wiped with ant-bacterial/virus wipes after use. We try to avoid using compressed air cans indoors to avoid particulates spreading if the PC is really dirty, see our PC Cleaning Page Here. We are happy to work with your personal Covid19 rules and if that means we don't get offered a cup of tea or coffee that's fine with us.

PCFixShop New Guidelines 2024

Now in 2024 the guidance has now been withdrawn and we are effectively operating as pre pandemic again. The following guidance is left purely for historic information.

2020 to early 2022 operating rules in effect were :-

PCFixShop Computer Repairs announce with new government guidelines and lockdown restrictions nationally. We are an essential service and can still repair your PC onsite at your home or business, obviously only with your permission, and will follow your local Covid19 rules as necessary. We wear non medical PPE equipment face covering and anti-bacterial/virus wipe your device afterwards and make sure social distancing measures are maintained. If you prefer, we will collect and return your computer - No Direct contact (left on your doorstep if required) Your PC/Laptop/Tablet is returned fully repaired in a plastic bag already cleaned with anti-bac/virus FREE - Don't forget we can also dial into your PC and fix it without visiting your Home or Business at all.
